PRIVATE BILL

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly relating to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to Amend the Homewood Trust Act 1942.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Homewood Trust Board intends to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand for the passing of the said Bill. The object of the said Bill is to extend the powers of the said Board to enable it to pay from time to time to the Western Bay of Plenty Returned Services Association, Incorporated, such sum or sums as the Board shall think fit to assist in the establishment and maintenance of a community centre for the benefit of such persons as the rules of the said Association may for the time being prescribe and to assist in the establishment and maintenance of homes for indigent ex-servicemen and their wives and families. Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited at the offices of Sharp, Tudhope, and Co., 21 Spring Street, Tauranga, Solicitors to the Homewood Trust Board, after three weeks from the date of first publication of this notice, and communications or notices to the promoter may be sent to the same address.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to Constitute and Incorporate the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, and to Dissolve Certain Boards in Order that their Functions May be Taken Over and their Property Vested in The Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, and to Provide for Trusts and Incidental Matters.”

NOTICE is hereby given that Laurie Henry Wilson, of Christchurch, Diocesan Registrar, Treasurer, and Secretary, intends to present a petition to the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled, and during this present session thereof, for leave to introduce the above-mentioned Bill, the objects of which said Bill are to constitute and incorporate the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch and to dissolve certain boards—namely, St. Saviours Guild (commonly called St. Saviours Guild Society or Trust Board), St. Anne’s Guild Society, and Anglican Society of the Friends of the Aged Trust Board—in order that their functions may be taken over and their property vested in the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, and to provide for trusts and incidental matters.

The promoter of the Bill is the said Laurie Henry Wilson and the address to which communications or notices to the promoter may be sent and at which a copy of the Bill may be inspected is at the office of Elmo Connal Champion, Solicitor for the said Laurie Henry Wilson, 83 Hereford Street, Christchurch.

REDUCTION OF CAPITAL

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of R. C. JAMIESON, LIMITED, a duly incorporated company having its registered office in the City of Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that an Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 6th day of August 1952, confirming a special resolution for the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £7,500 to £2,500 and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital as altered, the several particulars required by the above statute were registered with the Registrar of Companies at Christchurch on the 12th day of August 1952; and further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of R. C. Jamieson, Limited, henceforth is £2,500 divided into 7,500 shares of 6s. 8d. each. At the time of registration of this minute each of the said 7,500 shares has been issued and is deemed to be fully paid up.”
