Decisions of the Bureau of Industry Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936

PURSUANT to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licences.

W. F. Turner, Ltd., Higginson Street, Otane For permission to shift two pumps from their present position in Higginson Street to a new position about 75 yards distant to new premises also in Higginson Street, Otane Granted 11 August 1952.
C. Capell, Wanaka For a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed service-station premises at Ardmore Street, Wanaka Declined 11 August 1952.
Khyber Pass Motors, Ltd., 180 Great South Road, Auckland For a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed at the rear of garage premises at 180 Great South Road, Auckland Granted (subject to the condition that a bona fide repair service be provided to the satisfaction of the Bureau) 11 August 1952.
Car Services, Ltd., Waimate For permission to shift six pumps from one side of Queen Street to the opposite side at Waimate Granted 11 August 1952.
N.Z. Oil Refineries (1949), Ltd., New Plymouth For a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on premises at Paritutu Crescent, Moturoa, New Plymouth Granted 11 August 1952.
Hutchings and Edgar, 334 King Edward Street, Dunedin For permission to change their reselling point from 332 King Edward Street, to a new site at 334 King Edward Street, Dunedin Granted (subject to the condition that a bona fide repair service be provided to the satisfaction of the Bureau) 11 August 1952.
Anderson and Hansen, Ltd., Hyderabad Road, Napier For a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Hyderabad Road, Napier Granted (subject to the condition that a bona fide repair service be provided to the satisfaction of the Bureau) 11 August 1952.
Hadfield and Griffiths, Riwaka For a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage and service-station premises at Main Road, Riwaka Granted (subject to the condition that a bona fide repair service be provided to the satisfaction of the Bureau) 11 August 1952.
Alex Smith and Co. (1936), Ltd., Ranfurly For permission to shift three of the company’s four pumps from their present position at the corner of Charlemont Street and Granville Place, Ranfurly, to a new site across the railway line on the corner of John and Northland Streets, Ranfurly Granted (on appeal), (conditionally) 11 August 1952.
J. A. Clark, Winton For a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on taxi and rental car premises at 4 McKenzie Street, Winton Granted (on appeal), (conditionally) 11 August 1952.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act 1926, that, unless cause to the contrary is shown within one month from that date hereof, the mining privilege mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register.
