Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Otago, and Southland Land Districts

FREYBERG, Governor-General

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the lands in the North Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Otago, and Southland Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 26.5 perches, more or less, being Lots 32 and 35 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 38181, being part Allotment 2, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna. (S.O. plan 36951.) (Recreation.)

All that area situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, being Lot 42 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 37678, being part Allotment 5 of Section 14, and part Allotment 2 of Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland, and land below Mean high-water mark as shown in a Proclamation deposited as aforesaid under No. 12585 (S.O. plan 36947.) TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block VII, Paritutu Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 13.1 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at New Plymouth under No. 5558, and being part Section 13, Tarurutangi District. (Recreation.)

(Site for a roadman's cottage.)

Member Appointed to Pelorus Scenic Board

FREYBERG, Governor-General

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the 21st day of September 1948 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 30th day of that month, the control of a certain reserve in the Marlborough Land District, known as the Pelorus Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Pelorus Scenic Board, pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908:
And whereas it is desirable that Fergus Noble-Adams should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of Mark Walton Grace, deceased:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints the said Fergus Noble-Adams to be a member of the Pelorus Scenic Board constituted by the Warrant dated the 21st day of September 1948, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Mark Walton Grace.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 31st day of July 1952.

Member of the Nurses and Midwives Board Appointed

FREYBERG, Governor-General

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 4 of the Nurses and Midwives Act 1945, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Doris Irene Brown, R.N., R.M., P.G., P., as a member of the Nurses and Midwives Board under the aforesaid Act, as from the 1st day of August 1952, vice Dorothy Isabella Buchanan, R.N., R.M., resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 1st day of August 1952.
