Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block II, Karioi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 103 acres, more or less, being Te Akau "D" No. 18 Block, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 240, folio 155 (Auckland Registry). (S.O. plan M.L. 8491.)

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
Sections 6, 7, 10, and 20, Block VII, Cape Survey District: Total area, 114 acres, more or less. (S.O. plans 976 and 1953.) Section 11, Block V, Egmont Survey District : Area, 202 acres, more or less. (S.O. plan 917.)

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that area situated in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre L rood 4.3 perches, more or less, being Lot 35, as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington under No. 1714, being part Sections 20 and 22, Harbour District, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 388, folio 30 (Wellington Registry).

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT-SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County, containing by admeasurement 384 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more or less, and being Section 4, Block XXII, Jacobs River Hundred. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 210/37, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Southland plan S.O. 4314.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of July 1952.

Land Taken for the Development of Water-power (Cobb River Power Scheme) Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT-NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Takaka County, containing by admeasurement 307 acres 3 roods 31 perches, more or less, being Section 2, Block XVI, Anatoki Survey District, excepting thereout the public road 1 chain wide running through the said Section and the River Cobb and being the land taken for the development of water-power (Cobb River Power Scheme) by a Proclamation dated 6 February 1952, published in New Zealand Gazette 1952, page 201. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 98/5, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson plan S.O. 4033.)
