Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice 1952
Pursuant to the Milk Delivery Regulations 1949* the Minister
of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows :-
-
This notice may be cited as the Lyttelton Milk Delivery
Notice 1952. -
This notice shall come into force on the Monday following
the publication thereof in the Gazette. -
The Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice 1949 and amendments
thereof† are hereby revoked. -
The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided
for the district described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
THE LYTTELTON MILK DELIVERY SCHEME 1952
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise
requires--
- "Consumer" means a purchaser of milk for domestic con-
sumption : - "Commercial user" means a purchaser of milk for purposes
other than domestic consumption : - "The district" means the Borough of Lyttelton as indicated
by zones marked on the plan : - "The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the
purposes of the scheme in the District Office of the
Marketing Department, Mandeville Street, Riccarton,
Christchurch, under No. M.D. 131/1 : - "Zone" means a zone of the district as marked on the plan :
- "Milk" includes cream.
(2) Deliveries of milk under contract to schools and public
hospitals are excluded from this scheme.
(3) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to
this scheme and the areas in which and the persons to whom they
may deliver milk are as follows :--

| 3. McRobie, R. W., 14 London Street, Lyttelton | In zone No. 3, as marked in green on the plan, in any quantity to consumers situated anywhere in the said zone ; and in quantities of not less than one gallon per delivery to shipping and commercial users situated anywhere in the district. |
| 4. Barnes, G., 51 Voelas Road, Lyttelton | In zone No. 4, as marked in black on the plan, in any quantity to consumers situated anywhere in the said zone. |
(4) Subject to awards or industrial agreements in force on the
31st day of July 1952, in the Canterbury Industrial District, no
vendors shall deliver milk to any consumer on any day after eleven
o'clock in the forenoon.

Pursuant to the Milk Delivery Regulations 1949*, the Minister

This notice may be cited as the Thames Milk Delivery
Notice 1952. -
This notice shall come into force on the day following the
publication thereof in the Gazette. -
The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided
for the district described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
THE THAMES MILK DELIVERY SCHEME 1952
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise
requires--
- "Consumer" means a person who buys milk for purposes
other than resale : - "Commercial user" means a person who buys milk for sale
for consumption on his premises (whether in the form
in which it is received by him or otherwise, and whether
separately or in combination with any other substance
or substances):
- Statutory Regulations 1949, Serial number 1949/150.
"The district" means the Borough of Thames as indicated
by zones marked on the plan :
"The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the
purposes of the scheme in Head Office of the Marketing
Department, 24 Lambton Quay, Wellington, under
No. M.D. 97/1 :
"Zone" means a zone of the district as marked on the plan :
"Milk" includes cream.
(2) Deliveries of milk under contract to schools are excluded
from this scheme.
(3) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties
to this scheme and the areas in which, and the persons to whom
they may deliver milk, are as follows :-

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence
The Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand
having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose
name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged
in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is
hereby ordered under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act 1928,
that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued and
that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his
own or any fictitious or assumed name) or directed to the address
mentioned in the Schedule hereunder without a name shall be registered or forwarded by the post office of New Zealand.

Poukawa Drainage Area—Notice of Intention to Make and Levy General Rates
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 22 July 1952.
Notice is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the
Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, to make and
levy on the unimproved value of all land within the Poukawa
Drainage Area the general rates described in the Schedule hereto, such
rates being for the purpose of covering for the period from 1 April
1952 to 31 March 1953 the cost of administration of the said Act,
including the maintenance of works constructed under that Act in
the said area.
The amount of the general rates will be payable in one sum on
30 August 1952, together with the annually recurring special rates
already made and levied.
The valuation roll and rate book of the area are open for inspection
at the office of the Collector of Rates, Room 8, First Floor,
Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a
copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Commissioner
of Crown Lands, Post Office Building, Napier, at all times at which
those offices are open for the transaction of public business.
SCHEDULE.
GENERAL RATES
Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A
by the person appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the
Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, six pence and fourteen
one-hundredths of a penny (6·14d.) in the pound.
Class B: On the unimproved value of all land so classified as
Class B, one pence and two one-hundredths of a penny (1·02d.)
in the pound.
Class C: On the unimproved value of all land so classified as
Class C, twenty one-hundredths of a penny (0·20d.) in the
pound.
