Land Reserved in the South Auckland Land District
FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which in his opinion is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the land in the South Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for general education purposes.

SECTION 27, Block VII, Tapapa Survey District: Area, 3 acres, more or less. (S.O. plan 14067.)

Declaring Private Land in Maioro Survey District, South Auckland Land District, to be a Private Reserve Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 6 of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act 1933 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby notify and declare the private land described in the Schedule hereto to be a private reserve under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block VIII, Maioro Survey District, containing approximately 46 acres, being part of Allotment 27, Parish of Putataka, being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 615, folio 114 (Auckland Registry), bounded towards the north by Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 21688, and being part of Old Land Claim 49 and Allotment 26 of the aforesaid Parish; towards the north-east by Putataka No. lc, Section 1 Block; towards the south by the abuttal of a public road and Te Akau No. A1 Block; and towards the south-west by an irregular line approximately 100 links to 500 links north-east of the Port Waikato Wai-karetu Road, and being along the edge of the bush. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/1045A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Varying a Warrant Vesting the Control of the Waipa Bridge at Pirongia, Together with Approaches Thereto, in the Raglan County Council, and Apportioning the Cost of Maintenance
FREYBERG, Governor-General
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby vary the Warrant dated the 4th day of October 1930, and published in the Gazette No. 70 of the 9th day of October 1930, at page 3146, vesting the control of the Waipa Bridge at Pirongia, together with the approaches thereto, in the Raglan County Council, and apportioning the cost of maintaining the same, as followsโviz.: The control of the said bridge, together with the approaches thereto, shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be vested in the Waipa County Council; and the cost of maintaining the said bridge, together with the approaches thereto, less such contribution (if any) as may be made thereto by the Government of New Zealand or the Main Highways Board, shall be borne by the Waipa County Council and the Te Awamutu Borough Council in the following proportionsโviz.: The Waipa County Council shall pay eighty-five (85) per centum of such cost, and the Te Awamutu Borough Council shall pay fifteen (15) per centum of such cost, respectively; and the contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Te Awamutu Borough Council shall be paid out of the funds of the said Council, within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Waipa County Council, and all such payments shall be made from time to time, to the Clerk, Waipa County Council, for and on behalf of the said Council.
