Land Subject to the Housing Act 1919 Declared Crown Land Available
for Reservation Under the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing
Amendment Act 1940, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to
the Housing Act 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation
under the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 0ยท89 perch,
more or less, being Lots 128 and 129 as shown on a plan deposited
in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 7091, being
part Section 21, Ocean Beach Survey District, and being part of
the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume
353, folio 5 (Otago Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 24th day
of July 1952.

Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Block IV,
Otanake Survey District, South Auckland Land District

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses
Maori land and has been used by the public as a public
road and has been formed, improved, or maintained out of public
funds :

And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the
15th day of May 1951 and issued pursuant to sections 478 and 484
of the Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road
to be a public road :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the
public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public
road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the
Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act
1931 :

And whereas one monthโ€™s notice in writing of the intention
to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by
the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned,
in terms of subsection (2) of section 487 of the said Act :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be
proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act
1931, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described
in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 3 roods
16 perches.
Being part of Te Kuiti No. 2B 13 Block, Block IV, Otanake Survey
District. (M.L. plan 16832.)

In the South Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1281/A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, under No. 3093, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 24th day
of July 1952.

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land
described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved
for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such
recommendation :

Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril,
Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the
provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 2, Block X, Town of Manapouri : Area, 6 acres 1 rood
30 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 4912.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day
of July 1952.
