CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block II, Leeston Survey District, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being part
Rural Section 13523 and part Reserve 1160 (now known as Reserve
4654), and being part of the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Volume 424, folio 184, and Volume 519, folio 103,
limited as to parcels (Canterbury Registry). Subject to a pipeline
easement 6 ft. wide appurtenant to the balance of the land in the
above certificate of title, Volume 424, folio 184. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1007,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board
FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July 1952 Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for a site for a fire-station, and is vested, in trust,
in the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board: And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board has duly consented to such cancellation : Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (l) of section 10 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby cancels the vesting in the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Otago Land District SECTION 101, Block VI, Town Survey District : Area, 2 roods 27 perches, more or less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950. Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Chatto Creek Public Hall Board
FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July 1952 Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided : Now, therefore, pursuant to section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely,- John Percy Brady, Henry Joseph Drake, Peter Dudley Jenkin, Daniel John Kinney, Kenneth Ronald Love John Meffen McIntosh, Stanley Edison Pelvin, Edward Scott, and Kenneth Edward Scott who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Chatto Creek Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say :-

The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Monday, the 25th day of August 1952, at 8 o'clock p.m., at the Chatto Creek Public Hall, and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such time and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.

The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days' notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any five members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his (or her) stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Chatto Creek and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board ; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Child Welfare Act 1925, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint the several persons whose names and addresses are set out in the first and second columns respectively of the Schedule hereto as persons to be associated with the respective Children's Courts named in the third column of the Schedule; and I declare that the said respective reappointments are made generally in relation to all matters that may be dealt with by such respective reappointments and shall be for the period ending on 30th day of June 1953.
