Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Borough of Whangarei (Notice No. Ag. 5203)

THE following special order, made by the Whangarei Borough Council on the 16th day of January 1952, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and all other powers enabling it, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto be and are hereby declared noxious weeds within the Borough of Whangarei.
SCHEDULE
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Cut-leaved psoralea (Psoralea pinnata).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Goat's rue (Galega officinalis).
Mist flower or Mexican devil (Eupatorium adenophorum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).

THE following Special Order made by the Whangarei County Council on the 18th day of January 1952 is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
In exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves and declares that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Act) are noxious weeds within the County of Whangarei.

Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 the Putaruru Borough Council hereby resolves and declares by way of Special Order that the undermentioned plants are noxious weeds within the Borough of Putaruru:
Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum).
Winged thistle (Carduus tenuiflorus and Carduus pycnocephalus).

PURSUANT to regulation 19 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1946, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive 1 January to 31 January 1952):—

IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act 1925 and the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act 1910 and its amendments, the ratepayers within the District constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31 March 1952 unpaid on 14 March 1952. Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1.
