Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Tuapeka County—
All that area at Tapanui consisting of that portion of Northumberland Street commencing at the eastern boundary of Tapanui Borough and terminating at a point 12 chains measured generally in a north-easterly direction from the commencing point.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Revoking Portion of a Warrant Excluding Streets and Roads from Limitation as to Speed and Excluding Portions of Roads from the Speed Limitation Imposed by the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that part of the Warrant dated the 19th day of April 1938*, which applies to the portion of road described in the First Schedule hereto, and hereby excludes those portions of roads described in the Second Schedule hereto from limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Situated within Cromwell Borough—
Palmerston–Queenstown via Becks Main Highway No. 124 (all that portion commencing at a point 7 chains measured along the road in a westerly direction from its junction with Achil Street and terminating at the south-western boundary of Cromwell Borough, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 68 chains).
SECOND SCHEDULE
Situated within Cromwell Borough—
Milton–Queenstown State Highway No. 64 (all that portion commencing at a point 1 chain measured along the said State highway in a westerly direction from its junction with Antrim Street and terminating at the north-western boundary of Cromwell Borough). Melmore Terrace (all that portion commencing at a point 6 chains measured in a south-westerly direction from its junction with Gavan Street and terminating at the south-western boundary of Cromwell Borough).

WHEREAS by Warrant dated the 2nd day of November 1932 and published in Gazette No. 68 of the 3rd day of November 1932, Charles Findlay, Esquire, member of the Taieri County Council, Mosgiel, was appointed a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust, in terms of section 3 of the Taieri River Improvement Act 1920:
And whereas the said Charles Findlay has resigned on account of ill health, and it is considered expedient to appoint another Commissioner in lieu of the said Charles Findlay;
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works, pursuant to section 3 of the Taieri River Improvement Act 1920, hereby cancels the appointment of the said Charles Findlay to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust, and hereby appoints—
William John Marshall, Retired Farmer, Mosgiel, to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road in Blocks VIII and XII, Waipara Survey District
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waikari and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Approximate area of the piece of land required to be taken : 19·5 perches.
Being part Rural Section 7540.
Situated in Blocks VIII and XII, Waipara Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8293.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134224, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Bay View and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Operational Low-flying Area
IT is hereby notified that low flying will take place at periods in the area known as the “Taieri Operational Low-flying Area,” being the area in the Schedule hereunder. All aircraft using this area will be duly authorized for this purpose by the Commanding Officer, R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Taieri.
SCHEDULE
That area bounded by lines commencing at a point 45° 42’ 45” S, 169° 55’ 45” E ; thence to a point 45° 50’ 30” S, 169° 47’ 10” E ; thence to a point 45° 55’ 20” S, 169° 59’ 10” E ; thence to a point 45° 46’ 00” S, 170° 06’ 00” E ; thence to the commencing point.
The above area is more particularly delineated on Aeronautical Chart (International Civil Aviation Organization) S.E. 46/166½ which is held at Air Force Headquarters, Wellington.
