Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, South Auckland, Wellington,
Marlborough, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts
FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted
that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart
as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under
pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for
any purpose, which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest,
and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I,
Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions
imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the lands in the North
Auckland, South Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, Canterbury,
and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder
written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective
descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.

Amendments
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, dated 28 February 1952, page 312, under the heading “Regular Air Force—General Duties Branch—Appointments” relating to “72280 Jack Howard FAULKNER” is hereby amended to read “for a period of two years” in lieu of “for a period of three years”.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, dated 28 February 1952, page 312, under the heading “Regular Air Force—General Duties Branch—Appointments” relating to “72337 Harry Foster JOY” is hereby amended to read “for a period of two years” in lieu of “for a period of three years”.

Flight Lieutenant Peter Lindly Dick CUMMINS (70095) is transferred from the General Duties Branch and is granted a permanent commission, with his present rank and with seniority as from 1 January 1945. Dated 1 April 1952.

Transfer
Eric John WRATTEN (130742) is transferred from the Reserve of Air Force Officers to the Territorial Air Force for a period of five years, with the rank of Pilot Officer, and with seniority as from 17 February 1952. Dated 8 May 1952.
RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Richard William DURAND, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. (133534), is granted a commission for a period of four years in the Medical Branch, Reserve of Air Force Officers, with the rank of Wing Commander, and with seniority as from 24 September 1945. Dated 20 June 1951.
