Officers Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

FREYBERG, Governor-General

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by section 301
of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron
Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby notify
and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule
hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices
stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are
authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section
301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts

Whereas by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted
that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart
as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under
pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for
any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest
and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, I,
Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions
imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the lands in the North
Auckland, South Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Canterbury,
and Otago Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder
written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective
descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 11·3 perches, more or
less, being Lots 18 and 19 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry
Office at Auckland under No. 38604, being part of Section 3, Suburbs
of Kawakawa, and being part of the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 847, folio 97 (Auckland Registry).

Office at Auckland under No. 38052, being part Allotment 2, Whan-
garei Parish (S.O. plan 36641.) (Recreation.)

All those areas situated in Block X, Okaka, and Block II, Waio-
eke Survey Districts, containing 34 acres, more or less, being the
portions of Crown Land 100 links wide between the edge of Ototoa
Lake and Allotments 52 and 53, Parish of Waioneke, and those
portions of Crown land 100 links wide along the western side of the
aforesaid lake from the western boundary of Allotment 52 of the
aforesaid parish to the southern boundary of Allotment 18 of the
aforesaid parish and from the northern boundary of Allotment 18
of the aforesaid parish to the western boundary of the portion of Allotment 11
of the aforesaid parish, taken for Sand Dune Reclamation Purposes
by Proclamation in New Zealand Gazette No. 62 of 17 September
1936, page 1743. As the same are more particularly delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/825, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
