Declaring Lands in North Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, Canterbury,
and Otago Land Districts, Vested in the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay,
Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland Education Boards as
Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act),
it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other
Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation,
declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his
opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in
Her Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the
case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from
every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of
the Proclamation :

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the
said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland
Education Board, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto,
being an area vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, the
land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested
in the Nelson Education Board, the lands described in the Fourth
Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Canterbury Education
Board, the lands described in the Fifth Schedule hereto, being areas
vested in the Otago Education Board, and the land described in the
Sixth Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Southland Edu-
cation Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty
the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust
affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or
easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block V, Maioro Survey District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 roods 38·3 perches, more or less, being
part Allotment 180, Parish of Waiuku West. As the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/74E,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon, edged red. (S.O. plan 36955.)

ALL that area situated in Block XIII, Waihua Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 14 perches, more or less,

being also part Block 2, Mohaka Crown Grant District, and being all
the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 82,
folio 133 (interim as to description and delineation of the land)
