NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME

I, DOUGLAS HALL PATTERSON, formerly called and known as Douglas Hall, born at Ashington in Northumberland, England, on the 21st day of December 1916, and now resident at Tanekaha Road, Titirangi, near Auckland, New Zealand, Warehouseman, hereby give notice that I have absolutely abandoned the use of the name HALL as my surname and have assumed and adopted the name of PATTERSON as my surname, but have retained the name HALL as my second Christian name so as to be called and known at all times as DOUGLAS HALL PATTERSON.

MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the Murchison County Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal interest and other charges on the loan of two thousand four hundred and fifty pounds (£2,450), authorized to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of recouping its County Fund Account in respect of moneys advanced thereout in completion of the works for which the Maruia Hydro Development Loan, 1948, and the Maruia Hydro Development Supplementary Loan, 1950, were raised, the said Council makes and levies a special rate of three-fourths of one penny (3d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within that portion of the County of Murchison comprised in the special rating area known as the Electric Supply Area, being Blocks XV and XVI, Lyell Survey District, Blocks XIII and XIV, Matiri Survey District, Blocks III and IV, Maruia Survey District, and Blocks I, II, V, VI, IX, and X, Tutaki Survey District, as constituted by an Order in Council made on the 18th day of January 1921 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th day of January 1921, at page 190, and that special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Murchison was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Murchison County Council in the presence of:-

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

WE hereby give notice that the partnership of Contracting Painters hitherto carried on by us at Auckland under the name of "Adams and Roseman" has been dissolved by mutual consent as from 1 January 1952.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1951, £54,450

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Port Chalmers Borough Council hereby resolves:-

"That the security for the interest and repayment of principal moneys of the said special loan of fifty-four thousand four hundred and fifty pounds (£54,450) shall be a special annual-recurring rate of one shilling and eightpence (Is. 8d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Port Chalmers comprising the whole of the said Borough."

NOTICE OF REFERENCE OF SCHEME UNDER THE RELIGIOUS, CHARITABLE, AND EDUCATIONAL TRUSTS ACT 1908, TO THE SUPREME COURT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee, as trustee of the will of Robert Triggs, late of Wellington, Public Trustee, deceased, has prepared a scheme under Part III of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act 1908, for the disposition of income in the estate of the said deceased for the establishment and maintenance of scholarships for technical education in Christchurch, which scheme has been submitted to the Attorney-General in terms of the said Act.

Application for approval of the scheme, with an alteration suggested in the report of the Solicitor-General thereon, will be made to a Judge of the Supreme Court at Wellington on Friday, 6 June 1952, at 10 a.m. Copies of the scheme, with the report of the Solicitor-General annexed, may be inspected, free of charge, at the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Wellington, and at the office of the Solicitor to the Public Trust Office, Wellington.
