Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936 (Tuaropaki Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE
FIRST PART
ALL that land in the Waiariki Maori Land Court District, situate in the Whakamaru, Marotiri, Tuhingamate West, and Amuri Survey Districts, containing by admeasurement 6,720 acres 3 roods 31 perches, more or less, called or known as Tuaropaki A Block, being all the land comprised in an order of the Maori Land Court made under sections 146 and 150 of the Maori Land Act 1931 on the 9th day of April 1952 (formerly those subdivisions of the Pouakani Block described in the Second Part of this Schedule). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.A. 1/3/36, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936 (Whakatohea Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 18th day of December 1930, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 90 of the 23rd day of December 1930, at page 3908, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act 1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936) were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

Revoking a Notice Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936 (Taihape Development Scheme)
—
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes a notice made on the 2nd day of April 1947, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 19 of the 10th day of April 1947, at page 430, whereby the land described in the Schedule hereto was declared to be subject to Part I of the said Act.

ALL that land in the Aotea Maori Land Court District, containing 429 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, situate in Block II, Hautapu Survey District, and called or known as Awarua 4C 8A 1.

The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification—No. D. 3887: Office Furniture, Part II : Typists’ Desks

NOTICE is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand Standard Specification (Government Purchasing Series) is now being circulated to affected interests for consideration and comment. The closing date fixed for such comment is 30 July 1952.
All persons who may be affected by this specification once it has been declared a Standard Specification by the Minister of Industries and Commerce may, at any time before the closing date for comments, obtain, on application, free copies from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington, so as to have an opportunity to consider the draft and to comment thereon to the Standards Council or to an appropriate committee of the Council in accordance with subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941.

Notice to Make Returns of Income Under the Land and Income Tax Act 1923, and Amendments
—
NOTICE is hereby given that returns of income for the year ended 31 March 1952, are required from:—
(a) All companies, all persons in business (including farming), and all trustees, executors, and administrators, irrespective of whether a profit or a loss has been made; and
(b) All other persons who derived, during the year, income from salary, wages, interest, rent, annuity, dividend, or other sources, where the total income so derived exceeded £300.
Such returns are required to be delivered or forwarded to the branch office of the Land and Income Tax Department where the taxpayer’s records are filed,—
(a) Not later than 3 June 1952, where returns are for a year ended on any day falling in the period 1 October 1951 to 31 March 1952, inclusive; and
(b) Within two months of balance date where returns are for a year ending on any day falling in the period 1 April 1952 to 30 September 1952, inclusive.
Return forms are available at all post-offices or from any office of the Land and Income Tax Department. Any person failing to furnish a return within the prescribed time is liable to a fine of up to £100.
