Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XIII, Waihua Survey District, for a Post-office

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a post-office: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mohaka and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 20 perches.
Being part Waipapa A 107 Block.
Situated in Block XIII, Waihua Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2595.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 136983, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, for a Public School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a public school; and notice is hereby further given that the plan so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Beckenham and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land required to be taken: 6 acres.
Being part Rural Section 138.
Situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 137001, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—

A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Time and Place of Elections by Fire-insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Boards for the Hamilton and Rotorua Urban Fire Districts

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 10.30 a.m. on Friday, 30 May 1952, as the time, and the offices of the Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, Victoria Arcade, Auckland, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand, to elect one member of the Hamilton Fire Board and one member of the Rotorua Fire Board, such elections being held to fill extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Mr. A. E. Moore.
