Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936 (Manawatu Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby
revokes the notice dated 12th day of December 1938 and published
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 92 of the 15th day of December
1938, at page 2786, whereby the land, described in the Schedule
hereto, was declared to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of Maori land in the Ikaroa Maori Land Court District
situate in Block VII, Waitohu Survey District, and known as
Manawatu-Kukutauaki No. 4E 3 Sub. 1D 2 Block, containing 8 acres,
more or less.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936 (Manawatu Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby

in the New Zealand Gazette No. 77 of the 20th day of October 1938,
at page 2261, whereby the lands, described in the Schedule hereto,
were declared to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment
Act 1936.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936 (Maniapoto Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby
revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto,
a certain notice dated the 26th day of June 1939 and published in
New Zealand Gazette No. 49 of the 29th day of June 1939, at page
1904, whereby the provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment
Act 1936 were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby
revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto,
a certain notice dated the 10th day of September 1936 and pub-
lished in New Zealand Gazette No. 63 of the 24th day of September
1936, at page 1786, whereby the provisions of section 522 of the
Maori Land Act 1931, now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment
Act 1936, were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

Board of Trade Notice No. 25—Review of Import Licensing

Board of Trade,
6 May 1952.

IT is hereby notified that the Board of Trade has examined the
objections lodged to the proposed exemption from import
licensing of the following items in the Import Licensing Schedule
and has decided not to recommend decontrol until after a review
of the appropriate Tariff duties has taken place :—

Tariff Item. Description.
267 (2) Articles made of cardboard, papier-mâché, or
similar material—viz., cream-mugs, honey-jars,
and similar receptacles, printed or otherwise.
268 Cardboard boxes, and paper boxes, complete ;
paper, and cardboard, cut or shaped for wrappers,
boxes or other receptacles (excluding cosmetic,
pill, and jewellers’ boxes).
276 Handbills n.e.i., circulars, programmes, playbills,
printed posters, trade catalogues, price-lists, and
fashion plates.
294 Paper seed-pockets, printed, or lithographed,
specially suited for packing seeds.
298 (1) (a) Wrapping-paper, printed or unprinted—viz., in
sheets of size not less than 20 inches by 15 inches
or the equivalent or in rolls not less than 10
inches wide—of substance not lighter in weight
than ¼ ounce per sheet of 20 inches by 15 inches
or the equivalent.
Ex 298 (1) (b) Wrapping-paper, printed or unprinted—viz., in
sheets of size not less than 20 inches by 15 inches
or the equivalent, or in rolls not less than 10
inches wide—n.e.i. (excluding jewellers’ acid free

sheets of size less than 20 inches by 15 inches or
the equivalent or in rolls less than 10 inches
wide (except such rolls specially suited for
industrial or similar purposes in such widths not
exceeding 2 inches as the Minister may determine)
(excluding jewellers’ acid free tissue paper and
tissue paper in sheets with embossed edges for
use as shoe and similar wrappers).

It is further notified that Tariff review hearings in respect of
the above items will probably not take place before 1 April 1953.
