Declaring Lands in North Auckland, South Auckland, Gisborne, Taranaki, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts, Vested in the Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wellington, and Canterbury Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Auckland Education Board, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Hawke's Bay Education Board, the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Taranaki Education Board, the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board, and the land described in the Fifth Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Section 8, Block V, Matakohé Survey District: Area, 2 acres, more or less. (S.O. plan 20885.)

Section 24, Block X, Orahiri Survey District: Area, 1 rood 9·2 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 31446.)

All that area containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 24·5 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 11436, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 267, folio 67 (Auckland Registry); and all the land as shown on a plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 12162, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 279, folio 265 (Auckland Registry); both being parts of Section 14B, Block X Cambridge Survey District.

SECOND SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
All that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Gisborne under No. 3423, being part Huiarua No. 2 Block, situated in Block III, Tutamoe Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 89, folio 96 (Gisborne Registry).

THIRD SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
All that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Subdivision 1 of Lot 2 of Section 3, Block III, Aria Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 106, folio 73 (Taranaki Registry). (S.O. plan 5904.)
