Frank Eggar Greenish, Esquire, M.B.E., M.C.: appointed on the recommendation of the Council of the New Zealand Institute of Architects incorporated under the New Zealand Institute of Architects Act 1913;
Archibald Hugh Bogle, Esquire: appointed on the recommendation of the Council of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors incorporated under the Surveyors Act 1938;
The Honourable William James Rogers and George Davidson Griffiths, Esquire: appointed on the recommendation of the Executive Committee of the Municipal Association of New Zealand (Incorporated);
William Frances McArthur, Esquire: appointed on the recommendation of the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Counties Association (Incorporated);
Maurice Edward William Fitzgerald, Esquire, O.B.E., and Leonard Smith Talbot, Esquire: appointed on the recommendation of the Minister of Works.
