RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT a special rate of 0·094d. per acre be made on all the rateable area in the Forks Rabbit District as security for the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £1,700 to be borrowed by the Forks Rabbit Board for the purpose of securing a site and to erect thereupon a dwelling for the use of an employee of the Board. The loan to have a tenure of twenty years.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roads and Bridges No. 2 Redemption Loan 1952

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £2,000 authorized to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of £10,000 (being portion the Roads and Bridges Loan 1936, £70,000), the Waikato County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-sixtieth of a penny (1/160d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Waikato ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waikato County Council held on the 18th day of April 1952.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street at Farnham Street in the City of Wellington and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken ; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or the taking of the said lands set forth the same in writing and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
