Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, and Otago Land Districts
FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the lands in the North Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Allotment 91, Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 33719.) (Recreation.)

Vesting the Control of Scenic Reserves in the Dunedin City Council
FREYBERG, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General hereby vests the control of the scenic reserves described in the Schedule hereto (being lands reserved under the said Act) in the Dunedin City Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

The period for which the control of the reserves is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.

The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserves. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.

The said Council shall control the said reserves in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—WAIPORI FALLS SCENIC RESERVES
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1,262 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 54 and 55, Block XV, Maungatua Survey District, and Section No. 7, Block X, Waipori Survey District: Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 6, Block X, Waipori Survey District, a distance of 5264·2 links; towards the north by part of Section No. 7, Block VIII, Waipori Survey District, the crossing of a road-line, and by part of Section No. 11, Block XIII, Maungatua Survey District, a distance of 5805·5 links; towards the north-east generally by Section No. 53, Block XV, Maungatua Survey District, a distance of 10788·5 links, and by a public road, a distance of 18677·5 links; towards the south generally by a public road fronting the Waipori River, a distance of 34820 links; and towards the south-west by Crown lands, a distance of 5287 links: excepting three road-lines, each 100 links wide, which intersect the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 437/20, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1,540 acres, more or less, being the bush land situated in Run No. 51A, Waipori Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 437, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 366 acres, more or less, being Section 10, Block X, Waipori Survey District: Bounded towards the north by Section 8, 5705·3 links; towards the north-east by Section 6, 2479 links, Section 7 and river-bank reserve, 5638·4 links; towards the south and south-west generally by the Waipori River, 14200 links; again towards the south-west by Section 9 and river-bank reserve, 861·9 links; towards the west by the Waipori River, 31000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 437A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Revoking the Reservation for Recreation Purposes Over a Reserve in Waitemata Survey District, North Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, revoke the reservation over any public reserve or part thereof, and thereupon the land comprised therein shall, if vested in the Crown or in any local authority or trustees deriving title from the Crown, become Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for recreation purposes but is not required for that purpose, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the said Act declaring that the reservation for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be revoked.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block VII, Waitemata Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 12·5 perches, more or less, being Lot 5 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 18517, and being part Allotment 2, Paremoremo Parish.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 16th day of April 1952.

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Little Wanganui Domain, Nelson Land District

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (d) of section 52 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Little Wanganui Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Little Wanganui Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 3·9 perches, more or less, being part Section 45, Block II, Kongahu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1232B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged blue. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948.
