Exempting Land in the Auckland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act 1925

FREYBERG, Governor-General
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 171 of the Coal-mines Act 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be exempt from the operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act 1925, and hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 27·6 perches, more or less, situated in the Kamo Town District, being Lot 17 and part of Lot 16 on Sheet 1 of a plan lodged in the Deeds Register Office at Auckland as No. W.37, and being part of Allotment 51 of the Parish of Whangarei, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 539, folio 294 (limited as to parcels).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of April 1952.

ALL that area of land containing one (1) rood four and four-tenths (4·4) perches, more or less, being Lot 65 on Deposited Plan 17389, Town of Rotowaro, and being portion of Allotment 79 of the Parish of Pepepe, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 810, folio 6 (Auckland Registry), excepting thereout all veins, seams, and beds of coal, fireclay, and all minerals whatsoever in, upon, or under the said land.

Land Reserved in the Otago Land District

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which, in his opinion is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the land in the Otago Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for recreation purposes.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 22·5 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 7349, being part Section 43, Block X, Glenkenich Survey District.
