Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Block X,
Motuotaraia Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses
Maori land and has been used by the public as a public
road and has been formed, improved, or maintained out of public
funds :

And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the
23rd day of April 1951 and issued pursuant to section 484 of the
Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a
public road :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the
public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public
road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the
Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act
1931 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be
proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act
1931, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described
in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 4 acres
1 rood 32 perches.
Being part of Eparaima G 2 Block, Block X, Motuotaraia Survey
District. (S.O. plan 580.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/3173,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, under No. 3080, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day
of April 1952.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to
the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act
1949, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister
of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of a
provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the
21st day of January 1946 and gazetted on the 25th day of that month,
is required for settlement purposes ; and, in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day
of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land
and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation,
or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area, containing by admeasurement 142 acres 3 roods
21 perches, more or less, being part of Section 26, Block V, Oparara
Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 10/97/63A, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
red. (S.O. plan 9746.)

and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day
of April 1952.

Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule
hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
2 roods 20·5 perches.
Being Lots 7, 8, and 9, D.P. 15354, being part Rural Section 2759,
situated in Block VIII, Teviotdale Survey District, and being
part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 538, folio 102 (Canterbury Land Registry).

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril,
Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a pleasure-ground and
sports-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens
of the City of Christchurch as from the date hereinafter mentioned ;
and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the 28th day of April 1952.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 22·2 perches.
Being Lot 7, D.P. 6419, being part Rural Section 1034, and being
part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 375, folio 120 (Canterbury Land Registry).
