Plant Declared to be a Noxious Weed in the Borough of Gisborne (Notice No. Ag. 5199)

THE following special order, made by the Gisborne Borough Council on the 8th day of January 1952, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 the Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves and declares that the undermentioned plant is a Noxious Weed within the Borough of Gisborne:-
Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).

Muriwai Consolidation Scheme Confirmed
In the matter of section 161 of the Maori Land Act 1931, and in the matter of an application to the Maori Land Court to prepare a scheme of consolidation in respect of the subdivisions of the Land called Parish of Waimana, Lot 274.

NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation dealing with the subdivisions of Parish of Waimana, Lot 274, within the Waiariki Maori Land Court District, having been prepared by the Maori Land Court in accordance with the said Act and submitted under the seal of the said Court to the Minister of Maori Affairs for his approval, I, Ernest Bowyer Corbett, Minister of Maori Affairs, being satisfied that the scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the said scheme of consolidation so submitted.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:-

A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
