Lands Subject to the Housing Act 1919 Declared Crown Lands
Available for Reservation Under the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing Amendment Act 1940, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands subject to the Housing Act 1919, to be Crown lands available for reservation under the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods and 16·2 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 10 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 22408, being part Allotment 27 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland; and part Lots 120 to 126 (inclusive) and 131 to 139 (inclusive) as shown on the plan deposited as aforesaid, being part Allotment 28 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/1d, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Also all that area situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 0·4 perch, more or less, being part of Allotment 46, Parish of Titirangi, as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 18701; and parts of Lot 2 as shown on a plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 28554, being parts of Allotment 46, Parish of Titirangi. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/1e, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of January 1952.

All those areas situated in Blocks VIII and IX, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 9 acres 1 rood 34·39 perches, more or less, being—

All that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, 29·6 perches, more or less, being parts of Orakei 3b 1 and 3b 2 Blocks. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1054c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Also all that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 2·63 perches, more or less, being Lot 371 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 37688, being parts of Orakei 3b 1, 3b 2, and 4a 3 Blocks. (S.O. plan 36209.)

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 5·06 perches, more or less, being Lot 198 as shown on a plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 37689, being parts Orakei 3b 1 and 3e Blocks. (S.O. plan 36207.)

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 37·10 perches, more or less, being Lot 150 as shown on a plan deposited as aforesaid under No. 37691, being parts Orakei 1c, 2a 1, 3c, and 3d Blocks, part Section 12, Block VIII, part Section 9, Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, and part Section 679, Town of Orakei. Declaring Lands in North Auckland, Taranaki, Nelson, and Otago Land Districts, Vested in the Auckland, Wanganui, Nelson, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in His Majesty the King

A PROCLAMATION

Whereas by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in His Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board, the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Nelson Education Board, and the lands described, in the Fourth Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block XIII, Maungaru Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 31·2 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 15 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 9673, being part of Maungatawhiri Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 644, folio 266 (Auckland Registry).

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

All that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 21·9 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 5108, being part Section 81, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 81, folio 127 (Otago Registry).
