Notice to all Manufacturers of Ice-cream and Ice-cream Mix for Sale
NOTICE is hereby given to all manufacturers of ice-cream or ice-cream mix that, pursuant to regulation 38 of the Butter and Cheese Marketing Regulations 1948, the New Zealand Dairy Products Marketing Commission has authorized the wholesale distributors named in the Schedule hereto to sell butter for use in the manufacture of ice-cream or ice-cream mix for wholesale and retail sale.
Purchases of butter to be used as an ingredient in such ice-cream or ice-cream mix may be made only from the wholesale distributors named in the Schedule hereto and at such prices as may from time to time be fixed by the Commission in that behalf.
Attention is drawn to the penal provisions of the Butter and Cheese Marketing Regulations 1948 (Statutory Regulations Serial No. 1948/16).

Notice to All Manufacturers of Ice-cream and Ice-cream Mix for Sale : Returns of Butter Notice 1952, No. 1
PURSUANT to an authority duly given in writing by the Minister of Industries and Commerce under sections 14 and 15 of the Economic Stabilization Act 1948, the New Zealand Dairy Products Marketing Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) hereby gives notice as follows :
-
(1) This notice may be cited as the Returns of Butter Notice 1952, No. 1.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its notification in the Gazette.
(3) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,
"Butter" includes creamery butter, whey butter, and dairy butter;
"Manufacturer" means a person who manufactures ice-cream or ice-cream mix for sale whether by retail or wholesale;
"Purchase" includes acquisition under an agreement to purchase.
(4) The Returns of Ice-cream Notice 1952, No. 1* is hereby revoked. -
(1) The Commission requires every manufacturer to furnish monthly a return, in the form set out in the First Schedule hereto, showing :
(a) The total weight in pounds of manufactured butter held by the manufacturer on the first day of the month to which the return relates;
(b) The total weight in pounds of manufactured butter purchased by the manufacturer during the month to which the return relates, together with the name or designation and the address of the person from whom the butter was purchased;
(c) The total weight in pounds of manufactured butter used during the aforesaid month in the manufacture of ice-cream or ice-cream mix; and
(d) The total weight in pounds of manufactured butter held by the manufacturer on the last day of the month aforesaid.
(2) All returns to which the preceding subclause refers shall be made in writing addressed to the Secretary of the Commission, P.O. Box 417, Wellington, and shall be delivered or posted so as to arrive in the ordinary course of post not later that the 10th day of the month following that to which the return relates. Every return shall be verified in writing by the manufacturer's factory proprietor, manager, or secretary. -
(1) The Commission further requires every manufacturer to furnish annually a return, in the form set out in the Second Schedule hereto, and duly verified by statutory declaration as provided therein.
(2) The said return shall relate to the year ended the 31st day of March in each year and shall be addressed to the Secretary to the Commission at the address aforesaid. It shall be delivered or posted so as to arrive in the ordinary course of post not later than the 30th day of April.
