Cancelling the Vesting of Part of a Reserve in the Ashburton County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of April 1952

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve for a gravel-pit, and is vested, in trust, in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Ashburton County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) of section 10 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block VI, Spaxton Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 39 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 4225, and being also part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 411, folio 253 (Canterbury Registry). (S.O. plan 8414.)

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/120B, and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in City of Timaru, Canterbury Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of April 1952

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a General Government reserve for military purposes:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for the purposes of general education:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a General Government reserve for military purposes to a reserve for the purposes of general education.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 4643 (formerly part Reserve 102), situated in the City of Timaru: Area, 2 acres 3 roods 36 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 4715.)

Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in the Town of Dannevirke, Hawke’s Bay Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a ferry reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby declares that the said land being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

RESERVE No. 148, Hokanui District (now known as Section 249, Block XXXII, Hokonui Survey District). Area, 68 acres 2 roods, more or less.

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a Custom House over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 6·4 perches, more or less, being part Section 29, City of Nelson. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 22/2926L, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Harold Duval-Smith,
Keith Hall Eddy,
Lawrence Carlton Hair,
John William Humphries,
Bryan Charles Revell,
Norman Sanford, and
William Henry Smith

to be the Wainui-o-Mata Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints Tuesday, the 13th day of May 1952, at 8 o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Wainui-o-Mata Public Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—WAINUI-O-MATA DOMAIN

ALL that area situated in Blocks XVI and XVII, Belmont Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Lot 31, D.P. 12180, and being part of Sections 1, 2, 26, and 79, Wainui-o-Mata District and part closed road.

Also all that area situated in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being Lot 85, D.P. 12752, and being part Sections 1 and 3, Wainui-o-Mata District.
