A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the leasehold estate in the land firstly and secondly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by
Patrick Gibson, of Pukaki Downs, Fairlie, Farmer, under and by virtue of Crown Lease, Volume 465, folio 147 (Canterbury Land Registry),
and the leasehold estate in the land thirdly and fourthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Oswald Patrick
Gibson and John Robert Gibson, both of Lake Pukaki, Sheep-farmers, as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by virtue of Crown
Lease, Volume 472, folio 41 (Canterbury Land Registry), and the leasehold estate in the land fifthly, sixthly, seventhly, eighthly, ninthly, and
tenthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by the aforesaid Oswald Patrick Gibson and John Robert Gibson,
as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by virtue of Crown Lease, Volume 351, folio 162 (Canterbury Land Registry), and the lease-
hold estate in the land eleventhly, twelfthly, thirteenthly, fourteenthly, fifteenthly, sixteenthly, seventeenthly, and eighteenthly described in
the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Albert Raincliff Seymour, of Cave, Farmer, under and by virtue of Crown Lease,
Volume 428, folio 99 (Canterbury Land Registry), and the leasehold estate in the land nineteenthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from
Her Majesty the Queen by Thomas John Seay, of Burkes Pass, Sheep-farmer, under and by virtue of Crown Lease, Volume 529, folio 5
(Canterbury Land Registry), are hereby taken for the development of water-power (Waitaki River Power Scheme).
