THE TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Extension Loan, 1951, £40,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £40,000 (to be known as Reticulation Extension Loan 1951), authorized to be raised by the Taranaki Electric-power Board by Special Order under section 3 of the Electric-power Boards’ Amendment Act 1947 and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of the further reticulation of the Taranaki Electric-power District as at present constituted the boundaries of which are more particularly defined in the New Zealand Gazettes No. 40 (Supplement) of 19 May 1922, No. 27 of 6 May 1926, No. 31 of 20 May 1926, No. 9 of 5 February 1931, No. 38 of 4 June 1936, No. 62 of 18 August 1938, No. 50 of 6 July 1939, No. 56 of 25 September 1947, and No. 73 of 13 September 1951 (such respective areas being hereinafter collectively referred to as “the rating area”) the said Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁹⁵⁄₁₀₀ of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the said rating area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of not exceeding twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly convened meeting of the Board held on the 24th day of March 1952.

IN LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, that the following special resolution was passed on the 24th day of March 1952:—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr. IAN A. PURDIE, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

NOTICE TO CREDITORS TO PROVE

THE liquidator of N.Z. Air Conditioners, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, hereby fixes the 16th day of April 1952, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers’ Dwelling Loan (1951) £4,600

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,600, authorized to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing two workers’ dwellings, the said Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths of a penny (0·3d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council held on the 17th day of March 1952.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION INCLUDING THE TAWA FLAT TOWN DISTRICT IN THE WELLINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA FOR WATER-SUPPLY PURPOSES UNDER THE WELLINGTON CITY AND SUBURBAN WATER-SUPPLY ACT 1927 AND ITS AMENDMENTS

THAT, pursuant to the provisions of the Wellington City and Suburban Water-Supply Act 1927, and its Amendments, the Wellington City Council, with the consent of the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Board and at the request under seal of the Chairman, Commissioners, and Inhabitants of the Tawa Flat Town District, doth hereby resolve to extend the Wellington Metropolitan Area by including therein the Tawa Flat Town District.

Certified that the foregoing is a correct copy of the resolution passed by the Wellington City Council at its meeting held on Wednesday, 19 March 1952.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,660 to be known as the Land Purchase Renewal Loan 1952 authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Land Purchase Loan 1936 of £7,250, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three sixty-fourths of a penny (³⁄₆₄d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the said city; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
