HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments and promotions of officers of the Emergency Force :-

APPOINTMENTS

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY

With reference to the notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 92, dated 20 December 1951, relative to the appointment of Major J. D. McKerchar, M.B.E., after "(Regular Force)" add, "with seniority from 29 August 1950".

With reference to the notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 92, dated 20 December 1951, relative to the appointment of Major R. McK. Paterson, for "with seniority from 25 June 1948", substitute "with seniority from 29 August 1950".

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, extension of commission, promotions, and retirement of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force :-

REGULAR AIR FORCE GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH

Appointments

As Pilots-

Flight Lieutenant Thomas Robin Rabone (72878) is granted a permanent commission in his present rank and seniority. Dated 1 March 1952.

Russell Arthur Coulter is granted a commission for a period of three years in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority as from date of appointment. Dated 28 February 1952.

As Navigator-

Raymond Henry John Myhill is granted a commission for a period of two years in the rank of Flying Officer, with seniority as from 2 March 1950. Dated 1 March 1952.

EDUCATION BRANCH

Extension of Commission

Flight Lieutenant Nelson Hunter Irwin (70329) is granted an extension of his commission for a period of one year. Dated 5 March 1952.

TERRITORIAL AIR FORCE

CHAPLAINS BRANCH

Amendment

The notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, dated 12 October 1950, page 1840, under the heading "Territorial Air Force-Chaplains Branch-Appointment" relating to "The Rev. Alan Frederick Collins" is hereby amended to read number "73641" in lieu of "130814".
