Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle-line of a Portion
of the Wellington–Foxton Motorway, in Block XI, Belmont Survey
District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril,
Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 24th day of November
1950 and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72 of the 30th
day of the same month at page 2032, and deposited in the Land
Registry Office at Wellington as No. 4272, defining the middle-line
of a portion of the Wellington–Foxton motorway, in so far as it
affects Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, D.P. 7576, Raroa Extension No. 5, situated
in Block XI, Belmont Survey District, and being part of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 250, folio 125
(Wellington Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day
of March 1952.

The Smedley Boys’ Training Farm Approval Order 1946, Amendment
No. 1 (Notice No. Ag. 5227)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of
March 1952

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Howard Estate Act 1919, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Smedley Boys’ Training
    Farm Approval Order 1946, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read
    together with and deemed part of the Smedley Boy’s Training
    Farm Approval Order 1946* (hereinafter referred to as the principal
    order).

  2. Clause 4 of the Schedule to the principal order is hereby
    amended by omitting the words “the sum of £2,000”, and
    substituting the words “the sum of £6,000”.

  3. Clause 8 of the Schedule to the principal order is hereby
    amended by revoking paragraphs (b) and (c), and substituting the
    following paragraph :—

“ (b) Be paid a clothing allowance and an allowance by way
of remuneration for his services in performing farm work during
the course of his training and instruction at such rate as the Minister
on the recommendation of the Board may from time to time
determine.”

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
authorizes the Onehunga Borough Council to lay-off the proposed
street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its
length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Borough of Onehunga, containing by
admeasurement :—

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street Off Cross Street, in the Borough
of Ashburton, Subject to Conditions as to the Building-line

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Ashbur-
ton Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street
described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of
less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that
no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots
6 to 16 (both inclusive) of a subdivision of the land fronting the said
street (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 135340, referred to in
the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line
of the said street, or on Lots 2 and 3 of the said subdivision within
a distance of 33 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of
Ashburton, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 9·9 perches, more
or less, being part Lots 100 and 101, D.P. 236, being part Rural
Sections 7862 and 8767.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 135340, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 165 of the Harbours Act
1950 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that where the
foreshore outside the limits of a harbour is not vested in any Harbour
Board or other local authority, the Governor-General may by
Order in Council grant, for a period not exceeding twenty-one
years, the control of such part or parts thereof as he thinks fit in
any local authority, Domain Board, or persons acting as trustees
for the inhabitants of the locality, upon such conditions as may be
prescribed in the Order :
