PURSUANT to section 442 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on the 7th day of December 1932 and published in the Gazette on the 8th day of December 1932, at page 2509 and affecting Tokaanu B 1D and other blocks by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Smart Street (Extension) in the City of Christchurch

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day of February 1952

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Christchurch City Council to lay-off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less that 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, being an extension of Smart Street, containing by admeasurement 29.4 perches, more or less, being Lot 14, D.P. 15730, being part Rural Section 76, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 510, folio 296 (Canterbury Land Registry).

Being part No. 4, Te Kopani Maori Reserve.
Situated in Block III, Waiau Survey District (Gisborne R.D.).

Revoking a Sanctuary and Declaring Sandfly Bay, Gull Rocks, and Part of the Pacific Ocean, Otago Peninsula, in the Otago Acclimatization District to be a Sanctuary

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby—
A. Revoke the Warrant made under the said section on 26 June 1948 and published in the Gazette of the same day and month, at page 821, declaring an area known as Sandfly Bay, Gull Rocks to be a sanctuary under the said Act.
B. Notify and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—PENINSULA COUNTY
ALL that area containing approximately 836 acres, more or less, being Section 53, Block III, Otago Peninsula Survey District, the unformed roads intersecting the said Section, the unformed foreshore road from Seal Point to Harakehe Point, the Gull Rocks and part of the Pacific Ocean; bounded as follows: Commencing at the southernmost point of Seal Point; thence north-easterly to and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 52, Block III, Otago Peninsula Survey District; thence north-easterly along the western boundary of Section 53 aforesaid to and across a road and again along the western boundary of Section 53 to its northwestern corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of said Section 53 and the crossing of a road and northeasterly along the north-western boundaries of said Section 53 to its north-eastern corner; thence south-easterly, south-westerly, and south-easterly along the eastern boundary of Section 53 and the crossing of roads to the foreshore road reserve; thence southeasterly along the south-western boundary of Section 2 of 49 and Section 1 of 49, Block III aforesaid to its southernmost point; thence southerly across the foreshore reserve to the southernmost point of Gull Rocks; thence north-westerly by a straight line to the southernmost point of Seal Point, the point of commencement.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of February 1952.
