Authorizing the Acquisition of Land Notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of January 1952

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 246 of the Maori Land Act 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the purchase by Awaroa Station, Limited, of Wellington, of all the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
First, all that piece of land containing 6 acres and 19 perches, more or less, situated in Block XIV of the Wairarapa Survey District, being the Maori Land Court subdivision known as Te Iringa A No. 3, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 309, folio 287.
Secondly, all that piece of land containing 7 acres 1 rood 25 perches, more or less, situated in Block XIV of the Wairarapa Survey District and known as Te Iringa A No. 2, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 227, folio 221.
Thirdly, as to one undivided quarter share as tenant in common in all that piece of land containing 41 acres and 24 perches, more or less, being that part of the Potakakuratawhiti Block known as the “Tawhara Block” situate in Block XV of the Wairarapa Survey District, and being all that interest in land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 278, folio 145.
Fourthly, as to one undivided quarter share as tenant in common in all that piece of land containing 41 acres and 24 perches, more or less, being that part of the Potakakuratawhiti Block known as the “Tawhara Block” situate in Block XV of the Wairarapa Survey District, and being all that interest in land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 151, folio 228.
