Regular Force—

Major H. W. Jacka, M.B.E., is granted an extension of his short-service commission for a period of three years as from 1 April 1951.

Territorial Force—

1st Field Engineer Regiment, R.N.Z.E.—

Major K. Christie, M.B.E., B.E. (Civil Elect.), from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Royal N.Z. Engineers, to be Major, with seniority from 10 August 1946.  Dated 4 October 1951.

2nd Field Engineer Regiment, R.N.Z.E.—

Major G. K. Armstrong, D.S.O., M.C., from the 3rd Field Squadron, R.N.Z.E., is appointed C.O., 2nd Field Engineer Regiment, R.N.Z.E.  Dated 4 October 1951.

3rd Field Squadron, R.N.Z.E.—

Major G. K. Armstrong, D.S.O., M.C., relinquishes the appointment of O.C., 3rd Field Squadron, R.N.Z.E., on being appointed C.O., 2nd Field Engineer Regiment, R.N.Z.E.  Dated 4 October 1951.

THE ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY CORPS

Regular Force—

N.Z. Regiment—

Lieutenant and Quartermaster P. J. McGowan to be Captain and Quartermaster.  Dated 18 November 1951.

Territorial Force—

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own)—

Temp. Captain J. W. Coney, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Captain.  Dated 14 November 1951.

The Hawke’s Bay Regiment—

Captain D. Dalton, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Captain.  Dated 30 October 1951.

The Canterbury Regiment—

Captain P. V. H. Maxwell, D.S.O., ceases to be seconded to Headquarters, 3rd Infantry Brigade, for duty as Staff Captain, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, the Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Captain.  Dated 29 November 1951.

Lieutenant E. S. Johnstone, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Canterbury Regiment, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 8 March 1948.  Dated 9 November 1951.

The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment—

Lieutenant A. R. Monson, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 3rd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 21 April 1943, and is posted to the 1st Battalion.  Dated 30 October 1951.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMY MEDICAL CORPS

Regular Force—

Stanley Wickenden, M.R.C.S.(Eng), M.R.C.P.(Lond.), late Major, R.A.M.C., is granted a short-service commission for a period of three years as from 13 November 1951, in the rank of Captain, with seniority from 13 November 1946, is appointed Medical Officer, Papakura Camp, and is granted the acting unpaid rank of Major.  Dated 13 November 1951.

Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp. Captain and Quartermaster) G. A. Johnson to be Captain and Quartermaster.  Dated 23 November 1951.

Territorial Force—

Captain W. B. Allen, M.B., Ch.B., relinquishes the appointment of R.M.O., 1st Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own), and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 1st General Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C., with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 8 May 1950.  Dated 19 November 1951.

Lieutenant A. W. Beasley, M.B., Ch.B., from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 1st Field Ambulance, R.N.Z.A.M.C., to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 1 February 1951, and is appointed R.M.O., 1st Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).  Dated 19 November 1951.
