Lands Reserved in the South Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts
FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950, the lands in the South Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Revoking the Reservation Over Portions of the Westshore Domain, Hawke’s Bay Land District
FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section 41 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act 1948:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portions of the Westshore Domain but is not required for domain purposes, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of section 41 of the said Act declaring that the portions of the Westshore Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be deemed to be Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act 1948.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—PORTIONS OF THE WESTSHORE DOMAIN
SECTION 2, Block XVI, Puketapu Survey District: Area, 4 acres 1 rood 16 perches, more or less.
Also parts section 7, Block XVI, Puketapu Survey District: Total area, 9 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/108B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
