Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Street in the Borough of Port Chalmers

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for railway purposes and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become street and that such street shall be maintained by the Port Chalmers Borough Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 14·5 perches. Being part Railway Reserve.

Situated in the Borough of Port Chalmers (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 11333.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132594, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of December 1951.

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.
