PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints

Raymond Herbert,
Murdock Kenneth Lee,
Matthew Munro Muru,
Busby Te Paa,
Robert George Proctor,
Reginald Stephens, and
Sidney Cyril Welsh

to be the Rotokakahi War Memorial Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and hereby appoints Monday, the 21st day of January 1952, at 10 o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the Rotokakahi Maori School, Broadwood, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Revoking the Reservation for Recreation Purposes Over a Reserve in Block XIII, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury Land District

WHEREAS by subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, revoke the reservation over any public reserve or part thereof, and thereupon the land comprised therein shall, if vested in the Crown or in any local authority or trustees deriving title from the Crown, become Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948 :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for public recreation purposes but is not required for that purpose, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land :

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the said Act declaring that the reservation for public recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be revoked.

Kenneth Herbert Mitchell, late Captain, Royal Artillery, to be Captain, with seniority from 27 October 1945. Dated 24 June 1951.

N.Z. Regiment—

Temp. Lieutenant Laurence Clifford King, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, is granted a short-service commission for a period of three years as from 16 November 1951 in the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 16 November 1950, and is appointed Army Stores Auditor, Army Stores Audit Section. Dated 16 November 1951.
