Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 5th day of March 1947 and published in the Gazette on the 6th day of the same month at page 286, authorizing Thor Walter Martinius Nielsen, of Half-moon Bay, Engineer, to erect certain electric lines in the County of Stewart Island.

Authorizing the Westland Electric-Power Board to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the Borough of Hokitika

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of November 1951
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Westland Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and permitted assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The transmission voltage shall be 11,000 volts between phases.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 4th day of July 1957.
- PURPOSE OF LINES
The lines hereby authorized shall not be used by the licensee for the purpose of supply to any consumer in the Borough of Hokitika.
- DELEGATION OF LICENCE
It is hereby declared that the provisions of clause 28 of the Schedule to the licence dated the 4th day of July 1927 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 7th day of the same month at page 2212, authorizing the licensee to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to use certain electric lines (hereinafter called the existing licence), are incorporated in and shall apply to this licence, except that the consent of the Governor-General in Council shall not be required in respect of the delegation of the powers vested or conferred by this licence to any person or corporate body to whom or to which the powers vested or conferred by the existing licence may for the time being have been delegated in accordance with the provisions thereof and with the consent of the Governor-General in Council.
SCHEDULE
Electric lines for the transmission of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described within the Borough of Hokitika, as shown by means of a red line on the plan marked S.H.D. 183, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Authorizing the Auckland Transport Board to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the City of Auckland (Ponsonby Road and Richmond Road Routes)

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Auckland Transport Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- PURPOSE OF LINES
The electric lines hereby authorized shall be used only for the purpose of supplying electricity to the licensee’s trackless trolley-omnibuses.
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
In respect of the lines hereby authorized the licensee shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (j) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a two-wire direct-current system at a pressure nominally rated at 550 volts, for supply to the licensee’s trackless trolley-omnibus system.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1972.
- ALTERATIONS TO AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD’S LINES OR WORKS
Where the construction, existence, or use of the lines hereby authorized necessitates any alteration to the Auckland Electric-power Board’s existing lines or works, and/or the erection of any new or additional lines or works on the opposite side of any street to that on which the Board’s existing lines or works are situated, the cost of any such alteration and/or additional cost involved in erecting any such new or additional lines or works shall be borne by the licensee.
SCHEDULE
Lines for the transmission of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described along certain routes in the City of Auckland, described as follows:—
(1) Ponsonby Road route:—
(a) Lines for one-way traffic commencing at the intersection of Albert Street and Wellesley Street West and proceeding southerly along Albert Street to Myers Street; thence easterly along Myers Street to Queen Street; thence northerly along Queen Street to Wellesley Street West; thence westerly along Wellesley Street West to its intersection with Albert Street.
(b) Lines for one-way traffic commencing at the intersection of Albert Street and Wellesley Street West and proceeding easterly along Wellesley Street West and Wellesley Street East to Kitchener Street; thence northerly along Kitchener Street to Victoria Street East; thence westerly along Victoria Street East and Victoria Street West to Hobson Street; thence southerly along Hobson Street to its intersection with Wellesley Street West.
(c) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the intersection of Albert Street and Wellesley Street West and proceeding westerly along Wellesley Street West to Hobson Street; thence southerly along Hobson Street and along Pitt Street to Karangahape Road; thence westerly along Karangahape Road to Ponsonby Road; thence northerly along Ponsonby Road to its intersection with Pompallier Terrace.
(d) Lines for one-way traffic commencing at the intersection of Ponsonby Road and Pompallier Terrace and proceeding northerly along Ponsonby Road to its intersection with Jervois Road.
(e) Lines for one-way traffic commencing at the intersection of Jervois Road and Redmond Street and proceeding southerly along Redmond Street to Pompallier Terrace; thence easterly along Pompallier Terrace to its intersection with Ponsonby Road.
