NOTICE is hereby given that on 20 November 1951 the under-mentioned specifications were declared to be standard specifications by the Minister of Industries and Commerce pursuant to section 8 of the Standards Act 1941 :—

The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification—No. D3896 : Code of Building Terminology (Letters C, D, and E)
NOTICE is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand Standard Specification is now being circulated to affected interests for consideration and comment. The closing date fixed for such comment is 8 February 1952.
All persons who may be affected by this specification once it has been declared a standard specification by the Minister of Industries and Commerce may, at any time before the closing date for comments, obtain, on application, free copies from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington, so as to have an opportunity to consider the draft and to comment thereon to the Standards Council or to an appropriate committee of the Council in accordance with subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941.

Declaration of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan
PURSUANT to section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Opotiki, taken on the 17 November 1951, on the proposal of the Opotiki Borough Council to borrow the sum of £60,000 for the purposes of installing a sewerage system in the Borough :—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 83.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 137.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Amendment to Soundings in Vicinity
Details : The twenty-three fathom bank, reported 1934, to lie 36 miles north-north-west of Cape Maria Van Diemen, and the eleven-fathom bank, reported 1939, to lie 22 miles north-eastward of North-east I, Three Kings, do not exist. A nineteen-fathom bank (1951) exists 028½°, 12·2 miles from the north-east end of Great Island, Three Kings ; the hundred-fathom line surrounding the above nineteen-fathom bank extends from it to (A) 328°, 7·5 miles ; (B) 251°, 5·8 miles ; (C) 160°, 4·6 miles ; (D) 078°, 4·0 miles.

Price Order No. 1321 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 1319), (Australian Wheat)
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following amending Price Order :—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1321, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1319* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 29th day of November 1951.

In this Order—
“Bulk”, in relation to wheat, means wheat that is sold otherwise than in sacks.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This Order applies with respect to all Australian wheat to which the principal Order applies that is sold in bulk by the Wheat Committee or by any distributor.
MODIFICATION OF PRINCIPAL ORDER WITH RESPECT TO WHEAT TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the principal Order the maximum price that may be charged or received by the Wheat Committee or by any distributor for any wheat to which this Order applies shall be determined as follows :—
(a) When sold by the Wheat Committee, the maximum price shall be the appropriate price specified in the table to clause 9 of the principal Order reduced by 5½d. per bushel.
(b) When sold by any distributor, the maximum price shall be the appropriate price specified in the table to clause 10 of the principal Order reduced by 1s. 3½d. per bushel.
