Hohepa Te Rake Te Kiri to represent the Rangiteaorere Sub-tribe of the Arawa Tribe in place of John Ransfield, resigned.

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the Masterton County (Notice No. Ag. 5180)

THE following resolution, passed by the Masterton County Council on the 13th day of November 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

RESOLUTION

THAT in pursuance of the powers contained in section 22 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves to assume responsibility for the administration of the said Noxious Weeds Act within the County of Masterton as from the 1st day of April 1952.

THE following special order, made by the Hobson County Council on the 13th day of November 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Hobson County Council doth hereby resolve and declare by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto are noxious weeds within the County of Hobson.

SCHEDULE

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).

THE following special order, made by the New Plymouth City Council on the 19th day of November 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN pursuance of the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves by way of special order that Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes) (being a plant listed in the First Schedule to the said Act) shall be deemed to be a noxious weed within the City of New Plymouth.

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950, applies :

And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 30th day of October 1951 adjourn the said application :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 31st day of January 1952 as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Block IX, Waiwera Survey District, containing by admeasurement 241 acres, more or less, being Allotments 236, 237, and 238, Pukeatua Parish, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 15, folio 77 (Auckland Registry).

As witness my hand this 28th day of November 1951.

Revoking a Warrant Excluding Portion of a Street From Limitation as to Speed Imposed by the Transport Act 1949, Section 36

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 13th day of December 1946* excluding the street described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of the Papamoa–Mount Maunganui Main Highway No. 411 situated within Mount Maunganui Borough, from the junction of the said main highway with Tay Street to the southern boundary of Mount Maunganui Borough as at present constituted.
