Vesting a Reserve in the Oamaru Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of November 1951

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for recreation purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Oamaru:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Oamaru, in trust, for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 33·2 perches, more or less, being Lot 61, Block I, as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 3955, being part Sections 16, 18, and 53, Block I, Oamaru Survey District. Subject to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for hospital-site purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Wairarapa Hospital Board:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Wairarapa Hospital Board, in trust, for hospital-site purposes.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 140 and 141, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, situated in Block I, Otahoua Survey District: Total area, 27 acres and 4 perches, more or less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950. Cancelling the Reservation Over a Reserve in the Borough of Thames, South Auckland Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of November 1951

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel any and every reservation as a reserve over the land described in the First Schedule hereto contained or implied in deed of conveyance registered in the Deeds Registry Office at Auckland under No. 291088 or otherwise howsoever; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Thames, may be disposed of by the said body corporate by way of sale by public auction or private contract at such price and on such terms and conditions as the said body corporate shall determine, but so that the proceeds of any such sale shall be used and applied in or towards the development for recreation purposes of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which land is vested in the said body corporate as a public reserve for recreation purposes.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block IV, Thames Survey District, containing by admeasurement 20·9 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, under No. 37116, being part of Kauaeranga No. 20 Block, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 560, folio 145, Auckland Registry, excepting all mines and minerals upon and under the portion known as Lots 479, 480, and 481 as excepted by Conveyance No. 5412D (D.11/773).

ALL that area situated in Block IV, Thames Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 30 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, at Auckland under No. 37117, being part of Kauaeranga S. 28A Block.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Okato Domain

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints

Donald Allan Fox,
Laurence David Hickford,
Robert Charles Neilson,
John Leo O’Sullivan,
Stephen Ingram Digby Roebuck,
Alois Schicker, and
Leslie Roy Wooldridge

to be the Okato Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the 24th day of November 1951, at 10 o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the Domain Pavilion as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Lower Maruia Memorial Domain, Nelson Land District

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (d) of section 52 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Lower Maruia Memorial Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Lower Maruia Memorial Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.
