HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE—BEERESCOURT SPECIAL WATER LOAN 1951—£7,400
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,400, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing for the supply, laying, and fixing of the necessary water mains and services for the reticulation of the Beerescourt Special Water Rating Area of the City of Hamilton, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fivepence halfpenny (5½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value unimproved of all rateable property within the Beerescourt Special Water Rating Area of the City of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly constituted meeting held the 10th day of October 1951.

SECURITY RATE—CONVENIENCES LOAN 1951—£16,100

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £16,100, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing conveniences at the Lake and Victoria Street North and the provision of a women’s rest-room within the city, including all the necessary fittings and furnishings, architects’ fees, purchase of any necessary land, for plans and supervision, labour, material, plant and tools, and any other incidental expenses, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny (¹⁄₁₂d.) in the pound upon the rateable value unimproved of all rateable property within the City of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £198,400, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing and laying bituminous footpaths and carriageways and of kerbing and channelling within the city, including the costs of fixing permanent levels, regrading and resurfacing, for labour, cartage, materials, plant and tools, preparation and advertising, plans, engineers’ fees, supervision charges, and compensation to the owners of property in respect of such works, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-eighth pence (1¹⁄₈d.) in the pound upon the rateable value unimproved of all rateable property within the City of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £28,000, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing and laying stormwater drains and drainage works in the City of Hamilton, including the purchase of any necessary land, materials, plant and tools, and payments for labour, engineers’ fees, for plans and supervision, and compensation to owners of property in respect of such works, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (¹⁄₈d.) in the pound upon the rateable value unimproved of all rateable property within the City of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing and laying sewer drains and drainage works in that part of the City of Hamilton which constituted the city prior to 1 April 1949 (that is the Hamilton, Claudelands, Frankton, Maeroa, and Richmond Special Rating Areas), including the purchase of any necessary land, materials, plant and tools, payments for labour, engineers’ fees, for plans and supervision, and compensation to the owners of property in respect of such drainage works, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny (¹⁄₁₂d.) in the pound upon the rateable value unimproved of all rateable property in that part of the City of Hamilton which constituted the city prior to 1 April 1949, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
