Government Service Tribunal Act, 1948.—Order No. 32
In the matter of section 9 (b) of the Government Service Tribunal Act, 1948, and in the matter of an application dated the 6th day of February, 1951, jointly lodged by the New Zealand Educational Institute (Registered) and the Director of Education.
ORDER NO. 32 OF THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE TRIBUNAL
THE Government Service Tribunal, having heard and considered the application of the applicants, hereby orders—
(1) That adult female teachers who are in receipt of male rates of salary shall be excluded from the operation of Principal Order No. 21.
(2) That subject to the following provisions of this Order, all rates of remuneration, including time and piece wages and overtime and other special payments prescribed in the said Principal Orders, shall be increased by an amount equal to 5 per cent. thereof.
(3) That there shall be excluded from the scope of this Order such portion of the remuneration in each week of the employees affected by this Order as exceeds the amount of £7.
(4) That there shall also be excluded from the scope of this Order all allowances prescribed in the said Principal Order No. 21 in respect of tools, bicycles, motor-vehicles, protective or special clothing, or special footwear.
(5) That the increase provided for by this Order shall apply to the unexcluded portion of the prescribed minimum remuneration of each employee.
(6) That this Order shall come into force on the 13th day of October, 1950.

THE following school colours, &c., have been registered in accordance with the regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th August, 1915, and amendments thereto :—
NELSON COLLEGE
Colours
Cap : Oxford blue with a ½ in. band of Cambridge blue partly encircling it, the band being 1¼ in. from the bottom edge at the back and meeting the junctions of the peak with main part of the cap in the front. Nelson College crest on frontal sector.
Hatband : Oxford blue 2½ in. wide with a Cambridge blue stripe ½ in. wide running through the middle. Nelson College crest in front.
Tie : Alternate ¹³⁄₁₆ in. diagonal stripes of Oxford and Cambridge blue.
Stockings : Mid-grey ; on turnover, two ⁵⁄₁₂ in. bands of Cambridge blue separated by a ⁵⁄₁₂ in. band of Oxford blue.
NELSON INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
Colours
Cap : Mid-grey.
Hat Band : Mid-grey 1¾ in. wide.
Socks : Mid-grey ; on turnover, one ½ in. royal blue horizontal band between two ¼ in. white bands each ¼ in. from the royal blue band.
Badge
On a mid-grey shield edged with royal blue the monogram “ N. I. S. ” ; the letter “ I ” in white and the letters “ N ” and “ S ” in royal blue.
