THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

[No. 8

Levy on Main Crop Potatoes

The Potato Board,
Manchester Unity Building, 217 Lambton Quay,
Wellington, 12th February, 1951.

IN accordance with the provisions of section 15 of the Potato Industry Act, 1950, the Potato Board resolves—

“1. That the amount of the levy be thirteen shillings per ton;
“2. That the levy be payable in respect of main crop potatoes which are grown in New Zealand in districts other than the North Auckland, South Auckland, Taranaki, or Gisborne Land Districts or in the Waimarino County of the Wellington Land District;
“3. That the levy be payable on all table potatoes but shall not be payable on seed potatoes; and
“4. That all potatoes sold for human consumption, irrespective of quality, size, and condition, but excluding those potatoes sold for shipment to the Pacific Islands and described in the Potato Trade as “Island Smalls”, be classed as table potatoes.”
