Pursuant to section 11 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I hereby appoint the persons named in the first column of the Schedule hereunder to be Maori wardens for the tribal districts shown in the second column of the said Schedule.

Inspector of Dangerous Drugs Appointed
Department of Health,
Wellington, 26 September 1951.
Pursuant to the provisions of subsection (1) of section 12 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1927, I, John Ross Marshall, Minister of Health, do hereby authorize Fredric James Tannock, an officer of the Department of Health, to enter the premises of any person carrying on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller, or distributor of any dangerous drugs, and to demand the production of, and to inspect any books or documents relating to, dealings in any such drugs, and to inspect, weigh, measure, and record the stocks of any such drugs.

Additional Members of Domain Board Appointed
Pursuant to section 46 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to increase the total number of members of the Waimana Domain Board from seven to nine, and to appoint Allan Forde Mitchell and Claude Melvin Harford to be the additional members thereby rendered necessary.

Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Wanganui County (Notice No. Ag. 5138)

The following special order, made by the Wanganui County Council on the 14th day of September 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Wanganui County Council hereby, by way of special order, declares the plants named in the Schedule hereto to be noxious weeds within the whole of the County of Wanganui as from the 1st day of October 1951.
SCHEDULE
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Burdock (Arctium, any species).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
That the special order be in substitution of any previous special order relating to noxious weeds, and any such previous special orders are hereby revoked and shall cease to have any effect after the coming into effect of this special order.

SPECIAL ORDER
The Oroua County Council, having assumed responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, as from the 1st day of April 1951, hereby resolves by way of special order that the plants named in the Schedule hereto be declared noxious weeds in the County of Oroua.
