A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 8th day of October 1951.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 357 of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the following public purpose—namely, a site for a public building.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land situate in the District of Avarua, in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, containing 2 perches, be the same a little more or less, being part of the land named by the Native Land Court Enuakura Section No. 4, as the said land is more particularly delineated and coloured red on the plan numbered 50, signed by the Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga, and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga.

Bay of Islands County Council Required Under the Town-planning Act 1926 to Prepare and Submit to the Town-planning Board an Extra-urban Planning Scheme for the Whole of the County Area

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Bay of Islands County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act 1926 of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Bay of Islands County:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that the preparation and submission of an extra-urban planning scheme for the rural area aforesaid is necessary as settlement is taking place at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest and for the proper consideration of town-planning schemes which boroughs within the county boundaries are required to prepare under the Town-planning Act 1926:
And whereas the Russell Town Board, the Town Board for the Russell Town District which forms part of the Bay of Islands County, was, by Order in Council dated 10 January 1951 under section 13 (2) of the Town-planning Act 1926 and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 2 of 18 January 1951, page 44, required to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board a town-planning scheme in respect of all land within the Russell Town District:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 25 of the Town-planning Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby requires the Bay of Islands County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the 31st day of October 1954 an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said rural area—namely, the whole of the Bay of Islands County, but excluding therefrom the Russell Town District.

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the 5th day of July, 1951, in so far as it affects the sides and portions of streets described in the Schedule hereto, viz:—
“ The Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to that portion of Akaroa Street and Falcon Street, Parnell, adjoining portion of Allotments 6 and 7, Section 95, Suburbs of Auckland ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side
