NOTICE

PURSUANT to regulation 90 of the Dangerous Goods Regulations 1951, the following types of pump are hereby approved for delivery of petroleum spirit from underground tanks for the purpose of retail sale :—

Type 121 (approved under regulation 50 of the Dangerous Goods Regulations 1951).

The above pumps, unless otherwise stated, are approved for use whether situated inside or outside buildings. The “Carbox” pumps are approved subject to the provision at the end of the delivery hose of a nozzle of an approved type. Pumps noted as being approved for use only outside buildings may be installed in areas complying with the provisions of regulation 93 of the Dangerous Goods Regulations 1951.

NOTICE

WITH reference to regulation 11 of the Dangerous Goods Regulations 1951 providing that containers and outer packages shall be of a type and constructed to the specifications approved by the Chief Inspector, it is hereby notified that containers complying with the specifications issued by the American Interstate Commerce Commission for containers for inflammable liquids and those contained in the British General Railway Classification of goods by merchandise trains are approved for conveyance and packing of dangerous goods of Class I.

Declaration of Result of Election of Potato-growers’ Representatives on the Potato Board

I, NEIL JOHN McHUGH, Returning Officer for the Potato Board Election, do hereby declare the result of the election of grower members of the Potato Board held pursuant to section 4 of the Potato Growing Industry Act 1950 and under the provisions of the Potato Board Election Regulations 1951, to be as follows :—

I therefore declare the said Gilbert Hunter Blair to be elected. I also declare Frederick Christoph Jurgens being the only nomination for the Northern Ward, and Thomas Leonard Hayman being the only nomination for the Southern Ward, to be elected.

Abridged Description : F. G., 41 ft. 15 M. (U).

Details : The above beacon has been re-erected in a position 200 ft. (approx.) 194° from its charted position, and the colour changed to fixed green, height 41 ft., visibility 15 miles, arc of visibility remains unchanged.
