THE following special order, made by the Taranaki County Council on the 3rd day of September 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Taranaki County Council hereby declares by way of special order that all of the plants mentioned or included in the First Schedule to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 are noxious weeds within the Taranaki County.

THE following special order, made by the Waitotara County Council on the 22nd day of August 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, pursuant to the provisions of section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Waitotara County Council hereby by special order declares the following weeds to be noxious weeds within the County of Waitotara, and that this special order shall take effect on 23 August 1951:-
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris, excluding seedless). Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus). Common broom (Cytisus scoparius). Burdock (Arctium, any species). Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare). Gorse (Ulex, any species). Hemlock (Conium maculatum). Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum). Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea). Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).

Fourth Instalment of Rotomahana-Parekarangi Consolidation Scheme (Waikite Valley Series) Confirmed
In the matter of section 161 of the Maori Land Act 1931 and in the matter of an application to the Maori Land Court to prepare a scheme of consolidation in respect of Tihiotonga A and other blocks.
NOTICE is hereby given that the fourth instalment of a scheme of consolidation, dealing with the subdivision of Tihiotonga A and other blocks within the Waiariki Maori Land Court District, having been prepared by the Maori Land Court in accordance with the said Act and submitted under the seal of the said Court to the Minister of Maori Affairs for his approval, I, Ernest Bowyer Corbett, Minister of Maori Affairs, being satisfied that the scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the said scheme of consolidation so submitted.

Varing a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Ernest Bowyer Corbett, Minister of Maori Affairs, do hereby vary the notice dated the 13th day of January, 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 20th day of January, 1949, at page 59, declaring parts of the Whakatu Tribal District to be tribal committee areas for the purposes of the said Act, by excluding therefrom the description of the Motueka and Takaka Tribal Committee Areas appearing in the Schedule thereto and substituting therefor the descriptions appearing in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
WHAKATU TRIBAL DISTRICT
Motueka Tribal Committee Area
ALL those areas comprising the Borough of Motueka as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1939 at page 2175, the Borough of Richmond as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1917 at page 4194, and the County of Waimea as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1939 at page 2175, excepting, however, those portions of the County of Waimea described in New Zealand Gazette of 1949 at page 2528.
Takaka Tribal Committee Area
All those areas comprising the County of Collingwood as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1922 at page 231, the County of Takaka as constituted by New Zealand Local Statute No. 13 of 1903 at page 557, and the Town District of Takaka as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1915 at page 1687.

The Servicemen's Settlement Act 1950โNotice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen's Settlement Act 1950 applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 21st day of August 1951 adjourn the said application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of October 1951 as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land situated in Block VIII, Maungatautari Survey District, and Block V, Patetere North Survey District, together containing by admeasurement two hundred and fifty-two (252) acres one (1) rood thirty-nine (39) perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 22290, being part of Pokaiwhenua and Huihuitaha No. 1 Blocks, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 693, folio 122 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block VIII, Maungatautari Survey District, and Block V, Patetere North Survey District, containing by admeasurement forty-seven (47) acres two (2) roods fifteen (15) perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 29972, being part of Waipa Block and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 847, folio 142 (Auckland Registry).
As witness my hand this 18th day of September 1951.
