HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers,
resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army.
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY
Territorial Force—
10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A.—
Lieutenant T. H. Baker, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental
List, 10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., to be Lieutenant, with
seniority from 8 April 1947. Dated 1 July 1951.
Lieutenant J. R. Fabian, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental
List, 10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., to be Lieutenant, with
seniority from 17 June 1948. Dated 1 August 1951.
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS
Territorial Force—
1st Armoured Regiment (Waikato), R.N.Z.A.C.—
Captain (temp. Major) S. B. Edmonds is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Armoured Corps
with the rank of Major. Dated 17 August 1951.
1st Armoured Car Regiment (New Zealand Scottish), R.N.Z.A.C.—
Captain P. L. Collins, M.C., is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Regimental List, 1st Armoured Car Regiment (New
Zealand Scottish), R.N.Z.A.C., with the rank of Captain, with
seniority from 7 October 1948. Dated 24 July 1951.
3rd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C.—
Lieutenant-Colonel B. H. Wakelin, from the Reserve of Officers,
Regimental List, 1st Armoured Regiment (Waikato), R.N.Z.A.C., to
be Major, with seniority from 17 April 1940, and is appointed 2 i/c,
3rd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C. Dated 14 October 1950.
Major B. H. Wakelin is attached to the Rangiora District High
School Cadets and is appointed O.C., Rangiora District High School
Cadets, in addition to his appointment as 2 i/c, 3rd Armoured
Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C. Dated 19 June 1951.
THE ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY CORPS
Regular Force—
N.Z. Regiment—
Captain E. H. L. Hawkhead, B.A., B.Sc., is transferred to the
Canterbury Regiment. Dated 4 April 1951.
Territorial Force—
The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own)—
Lieutenant J. P. Price, 1st Battalion, to be temp. Captain.
Dated 20 April 1951.
The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington’s Own)—
Lieutenant J. A. Robinson 1st Battalion is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps,
with the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 31 August 1951.
The Canterbury Regiment—
Captain E. H. L. Hawkhead, B.A., B.Sc., from the N.Z.
Regiment, to be Captain, with seniority from 19 May 1949, is posted
to the 1st Battalion and seconded to Headquarters, Southern
Military District, for duty as P.S.O. Dated 4 April 1951.
The Otago and Southland Regiment—
Lieutenant S. W. Perry, 1st Battalion, to be Captain. Dated
1 July 1951.
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS
Regular Force—
Victor Raymond Bonner, late Major, R.A.S.C., is granted a
short-service commission for a period of three years as from 1 Septem-
ber 1951 in the rank of Captain (on probation) and is appointed
Instructor, R.N.Z.A.S.C., Burnham Camp. Dated 1 September
1951.
Desmond Stanley Rouget Austin to be Lieutenant (on prob.)
and is posted to Central District Company, R.N.Z.A.S.C., for duty
as Platoon Commander, Transport Platoon. Dated 15 August
1951

2nd Company, R.N.Z.A.S.C.—
Lieutenant J. Butler is transferred to the Reserve of Officers,
Regimental List, The Royal N.Z. Army Service Corps, with the

Major E. E. Willoughby, M.B., Ch.B., from the 1st Field
Ambulance, R.N.Z.A.M.C., to be Major, with seniority from
6 June 1948, and is appointed O.C., 1st Field Dressing Station,
R N.Z.A.M.C. Dated 1 August 1951.
Major M. T. Greig, M.B., Ch.B., from the Reserve of Officers,
Regimental List, 1st General Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C., to be Major,
with seniority from 15 November 1950. Dated 1 August 1951.
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS
Regular Force—
Captain Noel Lester Wallburton, from the Retired List, is
granted a short-service commission for a period of three years as
from 23 August 1951 in the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from
23 August 1947, and is attached for duty to S.D.V.D., R.N.Z.A.O.C.
