PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 14th day of August, 1951, the following special resolution was duly passed :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Lindsay Hatfield Spencer, of Palmerston North, Accountant, be, and he is hereby, appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

The Workers’ Dwellings Loan, 1951, £49,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and amendments, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolved as follows :—

“That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £49,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of redeeming at maturity, the Workers’ Dwellings Loan, 1951, £49,000, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth (⅙th) of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be paid yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified to be a true and correct extract from the minutes of the proceedings of a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 16th day of August, 1951.

CHANGE OF SURNAME

I, CLIFFORD ALLEN ALLEN, heretofore called and known by the name of CLIFFORD ALLEN BIRKINSHAW, of Napier, Waterside Worker, hereby give public notice that on the 20th day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of BIRKINSHAW and then assumed and adopted and determined henceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of ALLEN instead of the name of BIRKINSHAW : And I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the 20th day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District (Napier Registry), on the 20th day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of BIRKINSHAW and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended henceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of ALLEN instead of BIRKINSHAW, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of ALLEN exclusively.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers’ Dwelling Loan No. 2, 1950

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000 authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing workers’ dwellings for Council employees, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth (¹⁄₅₀) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Waipa, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the 20th day of August, 1951.

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT, 1932-33, AND THE MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSION ORDER 1934 (NO. 1)

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Mount Eden Borough Loans Conversion Order 1934 (No. 1) and the terms under which securities authorized by the said order were issued, the Mount Eden Borough Council at a meeting held on the 25th day of June, 1951, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of all debentures maturing on the 1st day of April, 1957, of the Mount Eden Borough Conversion Loan 1934 (No. 1), and public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Mount Eden Borough Council’s intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on the 1st day of April, 1952, and interest thereon will cease on the said day—viz., Debentures Nos. 2962-3221 inclusive, maturing on the 1st April, 1957.
